Group Programs

Our programs are formatted into 4-week blocks with 3 training sessions per week. Each session is focused on a specific fitness component; such as cardio or strength. Our aim is to help our participants improve in all aspects of fitness as they develop a smarter and stronger body for future sport participation.

FUTURE OLYMPIANS PROGRAM

Group sessions are held in the late afternoon. This gives our young athletes a great opportunity to let off steam after school. Training within a group not only creates a fun environment, it also helps participants develop a variety of social skills including:

  • Leadership
  • Cooperation
  • Empathy
  • Friendships and positive peer relations
  • Encouragement and support

Participants are encouraged to focus on their own self-improvement instead of comparing themselves against others. At the same time, they learn to be gracious competitors and to treat others as equals.

We will conduct an individual appraisal and group testing at the start of the program series and at the end of each 4-week program. We believe it is essential to do this to monitor individual fitness and skill-development progress and to tailor subsequent programs for the groups’ continuing improvement.

Outdoor sessions will be held in parks in and around the Woollahra and Waverley Council areas of Sydney. Indoor sessions will be at DK Studio in Bondi Junction. More Details. 

GROUP PROGRAM LEVELS

Elite:

This is our future Olympians program. This program focuses on young athletes aiming to reach the very top. They are given a more complex strength and conditioning training program than the Novice group. Sessions will include advanced exercises and vigorous training along with group mentoring. To qualify for the Elite program, participants must undergo a fitness appraisal.

Novice:

Our Novice level is for those unused to regular, structured physical activity. The focus is on enjoyment, participation, developing motor skills and exercise techniques, and improving general fitness.
